Storage and Equipment
Store blended overnight oats in airtight jars or containers in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. The texture actually improves after the first day as everything continues to thicken and meld together.
You’ll need a blender and 8-oz (236 ml) wide-mouth mason jars or similar containers for storage. A larger blender is recommended if scaling up for meal prep.

Toasty's Tips
- Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best texture. Quick oats will create a softer, slightly thinner consistency, while steel-cut oats will not blend properly.
- Adjust thickness after chilling. If your oats are too thick, simply add a splash of milk before serving.
- Customize your protein. Add protein powder if desired, but you may need to increase the liquid slightly to maintain a smooth consistency.
- Use peppermint extract sparingly, it’s very strong.
- Chocolate protein powder can replace cocoa for a richer taste.
- Add toppings just before serving for best texture contrast.
- If mint isn’t your thing, you can easily swap it for peanut butter, instant coffee powder, banana, or anything that pairs well with chocolate!
- Blend until completely smooth to get that signature creamy, pudding-like texture.
